Ojizo-san is a statue in child shape made of stone. When I was a child, I and my mother went to this ojizo-san to drink water springing from ojizo-san. The water was cool and clear. It tasted a little sweet. But because of the coliform ( O-157 ) Which hurt many people, we can't drink the water now. And there is a legend that reading notes on the wall 3times make us clever after praying ojizo-san. I read it with my mother. Inportant thing was to get candies when I went to ojizo-san in early morning in August. These are my memories of childhood. ( by Risa Simizu) |
