This school was established in Harima Science Garden City as the first elementary school. Harima Science Garden City is located on Nishi-Harima Hill which lays through Shingu-cho, Kamigori-cho, and Mikazuki-cho in the south-west district of Hyogo Prefecture.
This area is in a 250-300 m high semi-plane zone which belongs to the south-end part of Chugoku mountainous district.
The city is still now under construction with the main concept of "Advanced , high-function city with harmony between people, nature, and science". It will be completed in 2005.
A half of the planning zone is reserved for preserving the nature,as an environmental greenery, and forests of pine trees.
This school district includes a part of Kanaji area, Kamigori-cho and
Tsunogame,Futatsugaino, Kamiazawara areas, Shingu-cho.
