Step of Harima Science Garden City

The construction plan of Nishi-Harima Technopolis was made three years before my birth. In the next year, 1985, the plan of Harima Technopolis Development was approved by the government. The city has grown like us, sixth-grade students, because the plan was approved when we were born.

In 1986 a ground-breaking ceremony was held, and since then roads and many facilities have been constructed one after another. If you see the pictures below, you find the gradual change of the city from mountainous area to urban district.

Our city was developed by shaving the mountain.
It is located around the edges of three towns, Shingu-cho,Kamigori-cho and Mikazuki-cho.
In the evening, a row of stones like moai, statues in Easter Ireland, begins to shine redly in the center of Technopolis. The dome covered with tiles of stones starts to emit the yellow light from its cracks. Trees are also lighted up beautifully from below.
