On July 5th,one summer day preparing for summer vacation I attend the explanatory meeting for Ｈａｒｉｍａ　Ｃｈｉｌｄｒｅｎ’ｓ　Ｔｏｐｏｇｒａｐｈｙ[ＡｃｔｉｖｅＫｉｄｓ　Ｉｎｆｏｒｍａｔｉｏｎ　Ｇａｎｇ]. The explanation said we can send our messages on INTERNET.

　Beautiful! I thought.　INTERNET・・・　We've been thinking it will be far from now. But it came to realize. It was fine plan, starting easy and children leading. We made entry with our PC CLUB members(12members:6th grade 4 ,5th grade 4, 4th grade 4)

Next Tuesday, My children staerted AKIG activity. At first, I taught them how to handle the digital camera. They understood it so quickly because they love THE COMPUTER.
For 45 minutes, we talked and desided what pictures we sould take.
We talked about places far away, neigbor park and so on.
And at last, children started to take pictures by turn such as 6th grade boys group to 6th grade girls.
But difficulties like rainy days and forgetting and leaving camera at home made them be late to complete.
I thought we sould have started to work more early. Then we came up to the term end.
In summer vacation, my children who want it, went to far places, while I cared about them of going out.
Summing up this activity, I （as a teacher）found that my childeren have very narrow field of action.
I expected boys that they could catch insects like beetles and stay beetles and that they found the nature surrounded by mountains and also that they could make good pictures. But they could not.
Play fields where we grown-ups could play in our kid's age is getting more narrow now.
Traffic accidents, Accidents in swimming, and crimes regulate our children's life and shut them up in their houses.
Social comunication that is important for children is getting limited now.
I hope this activity will be open and wide so that children could understand their school area , their region,and thier HARIMA. And I hope THE INFORMATIONALIZED SOCIETY will be more intimate for us.
